The Artist

Kelly Gaylord is an Artist and the Owner of Decorative Expressions. Kelly specializes in creating decorative faux finishes that reflect everything from Olde World charm to New World chic. Whether it's designer glazes, marbling, woodgraining, Venetian Plaster, faux fresco, new age metallics, dimensional stenciling, reactive finishes, or a myriad of other textures and treatments, Kelly's experience and training brings sophistication and style to her client's surroundings. Her work also features Mural and Trompe L'Oeil painting as well as decorative furniture and cabinet painting and refinishing.

Extensive Experience & Training

Kelly has been active in the decorative arts field for over 20 years and has trained with internationally & nationally known Master Faux and Decorative Artisans and world renown Artists like William Cochran, Simon Pasini, Sean Crosby, Nicola Vigini, Pierre Finkelstein, and Melanie Royals. She stays abreast of new product offerings through continued education and is constantly updating her portfolio to reflect the latest trends in interior design. She is a member of the Society of Guilders, the Society of Decorative Painters, and IDAL - the International Decorative Artisans League.

Publications

Kelly is originally from New Jersey and and now resides in Punta Gorda, Florida. Her work has been featured in Melanie Royal's Book "Modello By Design: Inspiring Images from Artists' Portfolios", as well as several magazine publications including Harbor Style, Ever Seen Style Magazine, the Punta Gorda Herald, and Doors Weekly.

Giving Back to the Community

Kelly prides herself in giving back to the community. Her services and art work are donated annually to several non-profit community organizations for use in their fund raisers. She also volunteers her time on the Board of Directors of the Punta Gorda Historic Mural Society.
